Twin Sisters Whimsical 30th Birthday Session in Orlando, Florida
This spring I was invited to fly down to Orlando, Florida to photograph some dear friends of mine for their 30th birthday. Looking back through our photos, I still feel like I stumbled into a fairytale!
Identical twins are as close as two people can be. They share an uncanny, absurd level of closeness and understanding, sometimes even speaking in unison. Most twins say it’s like having a built-in best friend! While twins often choose a lot of the same interests and careers, Stephanie + Tiffany have grown into two beautiful individuals while still appreciating the strong, unique bond they share as identical twins.
THE TWINS
Stephanie (red hair) is a professional tattoo and fine artist currently based out of Hart & Huntington Tattoo Co. in Orlando. She is one of my closest friends and biggest inspirations. Over the years I’ve watched as she’s worked incredibly hard in pursuit of her dreams; swimming against the current, butting heads with adversity, and growing into a strong, wise, outspoken business woman. She knows what she wants and is willing to hustle to get it. Aside from being besties, Stephanie and I enjoy helping each other in whatever ways we can in our business ventures. I love that we’re each other’s biggest cheerleaders. I’m so proud of the powerhouse Stephanie’s become and I can’t wait to see all the butt she’s going to continue to kick in the future doing whatever it is her heart desires!
Tiffany (blonde hair) is another outstanding example of a young lady working hard to make a dream come true. A few years ago, she had such a great time creating her own “ears” for her Walt Disney World honeymoon that she decided to open up a temporary Etsy shop to sell some of the designs that she’d come up with. They ended up being a huge hit and she’s been making and selling Disney-themed headbands ever since! She owns and operates an adorable online business called Sew Cute Ear Co. where she sells some of the most fun, unique, high-quality ears that you can find. You can tell Tiffany loves every moment of her job. It’s been such a joy to watch her business grow over the years and to watch her become her own independent entrepreneur.
Needless to say, these babes know what it’s like to hustle. I’m proud of them for taking the time to treat themselves to a fun photoshoot to commemorate this milestone in their life, as well as provide these beautiful photographs for the people in their lives who care about them.
THE SHOOT
After doing some research, we planned to shoot at Bok Tower Gardens. “The meandering, historic landscape garden was designed to be a contemplative and informal woodland setting offering a series of romantic recesses and tranquil resting spots, picturesque vistas and breathtaking views of the Singing Tower.” Y’all, this place was amazing!
We were blessed with a lovely spring day to venture around the park. I was able to capture both sisters together and then each individually as we wandered around the breathtaking gardens, enjoying the lovely music coming from the tower. At one point during our shoot a mom and her two children approached us, wanting to talk to the “princesses of the tower.” This little boy and his younger sister proceeded to ask the princesses questions about their lives in the tower, if they were happy, and if they helped take care of the fairies in the fairy garden. Of course Stephanie + Tiffany introduced themselves and entertained them for a moment. It was seriously thee most precious thing. I’m pretty sure the hearts of everyone who witnessed it had completed melted.
