Colorful 90’s Style Rollerskate Shoot
Rarely do I leave a shoot feeling like I captured everything on my shot list, but this session with Livi was pretty perfect.
This chick is crazy talented and it was a blast getting creative with her doing what she loves. I’ve wanted to do a stylized rollerskate shoot for a few years, and Livi totally helped make my dreams some true. She floated around on that pavement with so much grace, almost like she was dancing. It was incredible and super fun to capture!
A lot of the past few years I’ve felt like I was barely treading water. Rarely able to escape depression long enough to shoot, even less able to plan and coordinate. What I managed to do, I’m still very proud of, but it’s only recently that I’m finally tapping into feeling like myself again. New projects, new collaborations, and a reinvigoration is exactly what I needed… along with therapy, medication, and emotional support from loved ones.
I definitely still have my waves of shame and isolation, Lord knows I still have plenty of growing to do, but I feel like I’m rediscovering my purpose and place in this world. How I can help people, and hopefully make a difference. Creating art and capturing people’s most vibrant memories literally fuels my soul. I fall more in love with my job every day, and I’m excited to see what the rest of this year has in store!
